Blackpool based original band gig promotor Gary Mcintosh joins us on the pod, to give us an insight into the daily struggles inside the unsigned original music world.
After gaining some success through myspace demos in the early 2000s, Gary has always valued the hard work that comes with being a songwriter. This pushed Gary to put his guitar down, and start to become a voice for unsigned original music as a promotor.
Gary discusses what exactly goes in to putting an event together, the high financial risk, social media marketing, how he deals with egotistical bands, all accompanied by the buzz of getting an event right.
Gary also urges Government and the music platforms to do more in bringing the next wave of talent to the surface, or we risk losing the next big band, for good....

Chris didn’t find musical his talents until later in life. Amazingly, Chris met his wife whilst learning to sing under her tuition, and this gave him the knowledge and confidence to teach others, sing, and play guitar for a living. Chris has now gigged for almost ten years, and teaches over twenty five students at the Song Rooms in Chorley.
